Here's what else is new at Quilter's Stash...
Quilter's Stash welcomes our newest staff members: Melanie Egan and Janet Farrell.  Melanie is an avid quilter with an excellent sense of color and design.   Janet is a quilting wizard who can help get you out of a bind.  We're so glad to have both of them on our team!

We have gorgeous new fabric collections in store and more arriving weekly.  We also have a complete department of Woolfelt, Wool Wisps™ (wool roving), and needle felting tools.  You can try your hand at this hot new craft!  There are plenty of classes and how-to books to inspire you.

Making a quilt for a new baby?  Check out Garden Tales, Beatrix Potter’s classic Peter Rabbit with his friends; Baby Steps by Pat Yuille and My Sweet Baby by Ann Sutton/Bunny Hill Designs – all in soft pastel colors.  If you prefer bright, vivid colors, we’ve got Jungle Friends by Laurie Godin for Northcott.  There’s a neat border stripe – just quilt and add binding and you’ve got an instant baby quilt… great for a soon-to-happen baby shower!  (We like the crocs!)

And don't forget Paddington Bear!  He's so cute, and we have a book panel and a matching border stripe with lots of coordinates!

New “Threads”…

Here are some of our newest and hottest fabrics, as of February 2008:
Under the Rainbow and Over the Rainbow by Timeless Treasures. This
unique fabric line brings the classic Wizard of Oz film to fabric.

P&B's Pop Parade is a luscious blend of bright jazz-inspired colors and
   patterns.

*  Surf and Sand by Marcus Brothers, in trendy aquas and tans.

*  Let Henry Glass take you to Antique Africa, a collection of sophisticated yet
   rustic patterns.

*  And, speaking of sophisticated, that's exactly the essence of Wilmington's
   Aged Elegance.

*  Alexander Henry, one of the most creative fabric companies around today, has
shipped us Turtle Bay.  This appealing group of fabric reptiles will charm you
    right out of your shell.

Spill the Beans is a really HOT line of coffee-inspired (and who among us does
that not apply to?) prints.  Mocha Java, ya-ya!

*  For kids' quilts, come and see Spacebots, designed by Jill Webster.  Our new
Kids' Fabrics Department is in our back classroom (still a "work-in-progress" -
but don't let that stop you).

We also have gorgeous new batiks arriving regularly.  We receive shipments of new Asian fabrics from Kona Bay regularly as well.  We can hardly believe how beautiful these fabrics are, and it’s a special treat with each shipment to open the box and see what’s new!   Come and discover along with us!

We’ve listed just a few of our new collections here.  We’ve also got great bright tone-on-tone blender prints, plenty of new black-and-white prints, and white-on-white and neutral background fabrics, too.

Visit us often to be on hand to see new collections as they arrive!

March '08:    JUST ARRIVED -- HUNKY FIREMEN!

Alexander Henry's new fabric "Ready for Action" is ready for you!
We sold out of the Hunky Construction Workers pretty fast, and now there's a new "Hunk" in town!

Where's the fire?  In your sewing room, with these five-alarm guys!   ;)
Don't miss out...!

"The Very Hungry Caterpillar" collection is expected
to be shipped in mid-June.

New Thread...
Come see all 25 new colors of King Tut quilting thread.  With a full line of 75 colors, one of them is sure to be perfect for your next project!  We also carry the full line of Bottom Line bobbin thread, and all colors of Sulky Blendables in both the 30-weight and 12-weight.

Quilt Documentation Day at NEQM

MassQuilts documents quilts at the New England Quilt Museum in Lowell on the third Friday of every month.  Founded in 1995, MassQuilts began documentation efforts to catalog our state's pre-1950 quilt heritage.  This volunteer-run historical preservation project raises awareness and appreciation of quilts and their significance to their makers, within a cultural and artistic context.
Fee is $10 for NEQM members; $15 for visitors.
Reservations necessary; call 978-452-4207 x15.
For more information, click on the NEQM link above, then click on "Events".

Our Featured ITEM OF THE MONTH

Wonder Tape

Don't get stuck!  Use Wonder Tape instead of glue!

Easily adheres fabric to fabric -- No waiting for glue to dry!
Clear
Wonder Tape dissolves in water, and it won't gum up your needle!
Especially useful for "pinning" where real pins would get in the way.

Ask Sue and hear how well it works for her.
Then try it and see for yourself!

[Hat Tip to Laurel for turning us on to this neat little notion!]
