Linda Baxter Lasco, our upbeat high-energy teacher and staff person, moved to Paducah, Kentucky, on the banks of the Ohio River, in 2006.

Linda is a woman of many remarkable talents, from auctioneering to acting and singing, to crafts of all types, to writing and editing – which is what she now does in the heart of quilt country, as editor for the American Quilter’s Society (AQS). 

Linda now has her own quilt studio where she sells her own quilts!  Here is what she had to say in an email:

“Things are just great in Paducah. The AQS Quilt Museum, a quilt shop, two long arm quilting studios, and a Bernina dealer, all within walking distance. I was at the Fiber Art Group meeting last night and am attending the LowerTown Artists' Group meeting tomorrow night. LowerTown is a very small, very friendly, and VERY talented neighborhood.”

Linda is very much missed by all of us here at Quilter's Stash – but we wish her the best of everything in her new home in “Quilt City!”

May 2007:
Linda, in her role as Associate Editor at the American Quilter's Society, has just had her first book with her own "byline" published by AQS.

October 2007:
Linda won a Blue Ribbon for her quilt "Napa Valley Sunset Revisited", which she pieced as part of the AQS team.  You can see Linda and her amazing quilt as posted on the AQS website by clicking here.
